PAU CALCITE GALLERY
According to Tom Moore , in 1980 there was a small but excellent find of calcite in a road cut near Pau, France. The find was very limited and thought that only local French collectors had been able to obtain specimens, In 2008 the Gobins acquired 10 flats of specimens from the excavation of a parking near Pau. "Set against the earthy pale brown limestone of the geode walls, these crystals make splendid specimens from what we had though was a one-shot occurence." Volume 41, Number 3 on page 286 of the Mineralogical Record.
